Hey guys,

Just bought my first land cruiser 100 series. 2005 Grey 137k miles. Amazing truck.

I plan On keeping it stock besides a set of FN 17 inch wheels and a nice set of AT tires.

So for those of you who have, or have had 100s, My question is: how big can you go without trimming or modding anything? It currently has 285/60r18s which are a 31.4 inch tire. I was thinking of getting a set of 275/70r17 cooper st Maxx (32.1inch tire) or should I go 285/70r17? (32.8 inch tire)

Any info would be helpful! Thanks

I ran the TRD Rock Warriors with 285's on my 2000 LC with no rubbing. I think you would be fine with them. Guys running the 16" wheels run 285/75/16's all the time with no rubbing. Congrats and welcome to the Cruiser world.

I sold my 100 and went back to an 80 but I do miss the ride of my 100

We put 285s on ours and it only rubs at full lock in reverse. They do look a little stuffed IMO and I plan on lifting it as soon as I can put the money together for it.

They are unbelievable trucks. You can hardly describe them...I think it takes driving one to know. Tough to drive the 4R after being in the LC all day.
