LCA Whiteline Bushings Popping

Does anyone know whether or not whiteline LCA bushings need to be re-lubed or if popping is normal?
At low speed and turning the wheels, I started getting a very loud popping noise and was able to have my wife drive around while I checked out the suspension from outside. I watched the lower control arm bind, then pop free.
I replaced the lower control arms and bushings in October and they just started popping this month. Cam adjusters are also new; SPC.
I removed the shock, end link, and LBJ from the LCA and it swings, but it’s rather tight/stiff. I couldn’t get it to pop or bind manually.
I lubed them when I installed them and spraying WD-40 silicone lubricant has helped some, but it still pops.

Any ideas??

The SPC camber adjustment bolts don't have a tight enough tolerance at the D shape in the eccentric washers so they allow some movement creating a popping sound. I struggled with this on my 4th gen with poly bushings until I sucked it up and spent the money going back to OEM camber bolts. No matter how much I torqued the Moog/SPC style bolts it just bent the washers and wallowed out the D shape more making the clunks worse. OEM is the only option in my opinion.

That blows... thanks for the insight!
Just bought new 285’s so it’ll need another alignment. Guess I’ll think about replacing the cams while I’m at it.

I wonder if you could weld on some extra metal to the washer to shave down the tolerance. I have SPC UCAs and have been getting some clunking (but it might just be the 1/4-1/2 in of play in my steering rack/ tie rods). I have access to a TIG for the next few months and think I could pull it off. I just don't know if it's that big of an issue to be worth it and how much of a pain it would be to fine tune.

That’s a thought. I’ve got a cheap flux core welder, but me welding it would probably make it worse. Haha

I never checked what they torqued them to after they aligned it last. SPC says 150, so I might go out and see what they clicked it to. OEM I believe is only 100 ft lbs so maybe it’s not tight enough?

Not tight enough is the winner. Crawled under with the torque wrench and the one rear cam that looked off was only at 60 ft lbs. the other rear was at 80... both fronts were 150+.
Drove around after tightening and no popping! Then drove around like a badass to settle the 5100’s I just raised a notch for the 285’s going on tomorrow. [emoji1688]

Going to make sure they tighten them properly after the new tires and alignment tomorrow.

I thought the torque spec was 96 foot lbs?

Nice! I've got some SPC cam bolts waiting to get installed and you had me worried. I'll make sure to let the alignment shop know they should be at 150 ft/lbs.

Cheers

They seem to be be holding up well. Assuming you tighten them adequately. Lol 150 ft lbs does seem to be the upper limit to what the supplied nuts can handle. I tightened them the first time after installing and much more than that, the nut will start stripping.

I checked them post 33’s and alignment today. They tightened them correctly this time. Haha
