LCD in center dome light

What's it for? I have an 03 limited and there is no rear entertainment or rear air controls, of course, so what does this LCD show you? Mine is currently not working. I'm not sure I'm very worried about it but I am curious what it displays and I need to see if I can track down a fuse. Are they a common failure item?

A JBL rear-entertainment system where the back seat could listen to the radio/CD/Media via headphones...I too didn't have a rear entertainment system or the headphones that went with the setup when I purchased my 4runner...

Well, I don't see any headphone jacks anywhere. Are you saying it was not lit at all from the factory? If so, that just seems a little weird. Usually a manufacturer would just put in a simpler dome light in that spot and save the cost of putting in a useless LCD.

Or were the headphones completely wireless?

Oh, disclaimer: I'm going to finally read through my owner's manual today. I'll probably have a lot less questions after.

Nevermind, just read about it in the manual. I don't have the remote or headphones, but no worries. I didn't expect or need this feature anyway.
