LCE radiator in a 1985 4runner 22re?

Hey people

I'm looking for a new radiator for my 85 4runner project and I have coma across a lot of information about aluminum, plastic, copper, 2 or 3 rows..... what seems like the best rad for me to use would be the LCE heavy duty 3 row all metal radiator:

Any advice? I want a good rad. Thanks

LCE is overpriced. Unless you're planning monster mods on that little motor then you don't need anything more than stock. If you don't have one now, get an OEM rad from a junkyard, take it to a rad shop for service/cleaning, throw it on and watch it last forever.

Ok but the rad I have seems pretty screwed and, on some bad advice from a mechanic, I poured 2 bottles of radiator stop leak into it and now I'm worried it's bunged up with gunk. Are the expensive LCE rads at least of very high quality? I plan on keeping this runner for years and don't mind forking over cash for a worry free radiator. It seems like this is the best one. So take the one you've got into a rad shop. You'll spend 10-15% of what that LCE rad costs, and they'll tank it clean, pressure test it, and paint it a nice shiny black. It'll be good as new.

Or drop $300 (plus shipping) on that Made In China crap LCE is peddling. I bet I could find the same one on Rockauto.

what do you mean by "pretty screwed"? Does it leak? Are you overheating?

It leaks like a sieve but I have not had overheating problems yet. I keep it full thought.

Get a decent quality rad for a 22RET, its 3row and you won't have any overheating problems.
I got mine from the local Go-Dan warehouse, all metal, under $100 about 10 yrs ago.

don't mean to hijack, but I was told that the rad for a V6 is the same as 4, is that true? Do they actually bolt right up no matter what motor you have and have the same cooling abilities...? I'm also in the market for a replacement, mine is leaking at the top cap..
