Got one. It's awesome.
Siting in the shop, waiting for Washington weather to get better.
I hear ya man, I waterproofed my 10 year old Canback 2 weeks ago in hopes of slapping it on. Looks like at least another two weeks of waiting for this rain to ease up.

Living on washington is why i bought a 2nd gen. Didnt want to deal with rain and removable tops lol

Am I missing something? I thought the Softopper was already water proof. Get out there and ride! I'm in Maine and its been raining for a week. I run mine without the top on and use blue tarp topper when shes parked.
Don't remind me. Although I am originally from Hawaii. So the rain doesn't bother me. Just the 50 degrees with the rain.
And the fabric itself of the softopper is waterproof. They and it with the same fabric of a new jeep top. However, they sent mine with sealer to waterproof the seams. So I hit up the sewn together joints and have ever had a problem.

My old Kayline is still 100% waterproof.
Or it was, until I starting putting holes in it to run a roof rack.

I have an STC top, and it's completely waterproof. Only problem is how often I break and rip out those damn snaps!!!! AHHHHH

I just got one from a company called softopper (softopper.com) right near me in boulder, co. Its a little pricey, but awesome. About an hour to install and now I can put the top up or down in less than a minute and u can roll the sides up real quick. I paid cash at the factory and got a pretty good discount but I think it'd be worth the full price. Looks to be the same one in the pic earlier in the thread. Good guys working there too, I snapped off a bolt when I was installing it and one of the guys helped me extract the ****er. One thing, if you get one make sure to screw in the four bolts on top of the cab before you do the ones on the sides otherwise its a pain to bend into place.

Oh and mines totally waterproof. Came with seam sealant but I didn't use it and it doesn't leak at all.

This is the best photo I have, I think:
To mount the rack, I bolted a rectangle aluminum bar across the roll bar (through the soft top) and put rain gutter thingies on the end. Then I just use Thule towers and bars.
It ain't ideal, but it works for longer trips when I need the cargo space.
