Leak help

Was able to diagnose where my wet floor pan is coming from. This airbox where the heater core is located is filled with cold condensation from the air conditioner. I suspect that the drain tube for it is blocked for corroded with something and the excess weight of the water and or it's pressurization via steam by boiling on the heater core or whatever is causing it to get past the seal

Can anyone lend a thought onto which direction I should follow up with on fixing this? Mildew smell is getting old

I had (or might still have) the same issue as you. I have the same exact picture as you on my phone which I was going to post on here. I actually noticed this problem after going to a car wash.

I noticed the cowl area on mine was getting filled with pine needles and leaves. I figured that if the water run off goes into there, a blocked passage might have meant that it flowed down into that AC reservoir area. I really don't have any solid evidence that this might be a cause though.

Thanks. Traced down the drain hose and pulled it. It was blocked. I straightened it out and looked on the inside and saw that it's pretty well plaqued with white shit. Wiggled it and blew it out. Drained probably a full pint if water onto the ground. Seems to be working now. Time will tell

:clap2: Glad it helped. I plan on checking mine tonight after work as a precaution, starting to get warm here. Was it pretty easy to spot? When you blow with compressed air in the drain tube, where does it push it? Or, did you take off that hose from the inside and flush top down?

I pulled the plastic covers off and traced it back through the firewall from where it exits. It then runs along the firewall ontop of the floor pan up to the condenser box. I pulled the hose off (unfortunately not being fast enough to put my finger on the actual box before cup of water spilled out into the passenger pan)

I pulled the hose and straightened it out. It's about 2 feet long and will come freely from the firewall. I filled it up with water and massaged it and then ran CLR through it to remove the calcification.

Seems to be working fine after a 40 minute drive. Nice puddle of water under the truck now

AC drain tube blockage

Similar issue today after using the AC for the first time in maybe a year.
While making a left turn, heard a sloshing sound, then heard it while braking, then saw water dripping onto passenger floor mat and what sounded like the fan hitting water. Figured it had to be the condensed water from the AC. Stopped, opened the hood, found the drain tube dripping slow, like it had syphilis; squeezed it the same way as getting milk from a pig's tit and, whoosh, a steady stream erupted. Noise gone.

I guess these drain plugs have a two-way valve and mine may have got dirt or salt in it.

Passing this along so others can make quick, easy fix should similar happen.

I have water pooling on the driver's side...good thing i have those husky floor mats that catch it.

going to try and correct this issue this weekend. any hints on where i can find the drain tube?
can i milk it from the engine bay or from underneath the car?

Thanks!

should I look into this?

I occasionally have condensation build up around my vents. Sometimes even seems blow water vapor from my vents.

Anytime Ive started to smell moisture Ive just turned off the recycled air

found the drain tube. it protrudes from the firewall by the passenger's feet.
pull out a couple panels underneath the glove box, and was able to remove the tube.

It was filled with all kinds of black particles of who knows what.
