Leak Somewhere (Floor Wet)

I have a 96 4runner SR5. I looked underneath my Husky mats today to notice that my carpet on the driver side was drenched. It is water, so I know it's not the heater coil. I pulled up the carpet, and the liner was even more wet. I poured water through my sunroof drains to make sure they weren't leaking. I also siliconed the hell out of my wiring port on the left side of the engine compartment. I cannot for the life of me figure out what is causing this leak. My A/C is draining as normal. Please help me!

Open the drivers door and the passenger door..... look towards the front at the bottom of the fender by the door hinge area. I would almost bet it is foll of road dirt and mud.

Once cleaned out water should drain from those areas freely. There are small drain holse in the bottom.

I had the same problem on my 2000 and that is what it was. I used a screwdriver and a garden hose and cleaned it all out them I coated the inside surface with LPS which left a water proof waxy film.

My carpets would get wet but no more.

I had a problem like this with a windshield seal once. It was weird. It only happened if it got down to a certain temperature. If it was raining and 60 degrees... no problem. If it was raining and 45 degrees the thing would fill with water. I took it to a place and they replaced the whole windshield seal and I never had a problem again.

I was only able to figure it out by waiting until it was just cold enough and running buckets of water over the windshield and finding out that it was coming through the seal.

I had tried it a bunch of times in the garage and it never happened. When I finally tried it outside under just the right conditions it was like a sieve. Just another idea for something to look at. Best of luck!
