Leaking coolant from one of the transmission lines? Help!

Hi, someone was driving my 2000 4runner the other day so i'm a bit sketchy on the details but it went something like this: the 4unner started revving really high while driving, started losing power but it didn't shut off. it would not move in any gear (auto trans) and cherry juice started leaking. we brought it to the mechanic thinking it was just a line but he said the cap was rusted on the radiator, fluid was low and that he needs to replace the radiator and flush the system. He quoted at 500$. a new radiator isn't more than 150$ and they charge 60.00 per hour for labor. Is this a fair quote?

I would start your own thread, but it sounds like you have more issues than just a coolant flush and a new radiator..
