So I noticed my 4Runner was low on coolant the other day so I topped it off while doing the oil/spark plug change. Gave Her a good all over wash down with the pressure washer(motor,fender wells, under carrige) and everything looked fine.
Today I drive it to work and when I get home I see its dripping coolant and its coming from under the passenger seat. so I take a look and I have 2 hard lines and one of them is leaking coolant. They go into the floor under the seat so I am guessing they go to the back seat heater. The lines run up the fire wall and go into the lines that lead to the heater core.
I have never seen this kind of set up before for back seat heaters so Im checking here to see of any body else has had this problem and if im right in my asumptions. I am gonna just cap the lines off for now till I can fix it later this week because my Jeep was wrecked about 2 weeks ago so Im down a vehicle.
The lines are pretty rusty so I was wondering if it would be a good idea to replace them with some reinforced rubber lines or even silicone ones instead of metal to keep this from happening again.
