Leaking fuel

Long story short:

Bought a used 96 Limited.

Realized that it didn't have a gas cap the first time I filled it up.

Put on new OEM toyota cap

Vehicle stalls and leaks fuel

Take new gas cap off, runs fine.

What would be the cause of this? Clogged vent line? Apparently the person who sold me this knew something. DOH

Any suggestions short of going to the stealership?

Where's it leaking from? Does it leak fuel when the cap is off?

Change the fuel filter, that may be causing it, because if that is clogged, may cause the fuel to come out where the filter attaches.

no leaks when it is off.

It has a new fuel filter.

It is leaking in close proximity to the frame rail because the fuel is dripping all along it. Maybe one of the vent tubes goes in to a frame opening?


Also, when I open the gas cap, it had lots of pressure, even when just running for a second.

I think it's a clogged gas vent also.
