leaking oil, help!!!

i own a 92 4runner v6 automatic and i noticed that oil is leaking from my engine. It is leaking somewhere near the oil pan. I'm not sure exactly if its the oil pan gasket because i see oil on a cylinder shaped thing to the right of my oil filter. I'm not sure if its that cylinder thing or the pan gasket. can someone help me figure out what the cylinder thing is . and also how much an oem oil pan gasket would cost me.

Well the oil pan is below your oil filter so if it is leaking higher up it must be that, Is your oil filter on tight?,did you change it recent?

I will have to take a look at the part you are wondering about and get back to you.

Also if you suspect it might be your oil pan try to tighten the nuts down a little before you replace it and see if that works, as far as price just call Toyota for a qoute.
