Leaking power stearing fluid

Apparently my mechanic said that what I thought was my rear main seal leaking again is actually power steering fluid. He said he isnt 100% sure yet but he will investigate a little more this evening after he finishes replacing my timing belt kit.

He said it could be a busted Rack and Pinion? I saw several write ups on replacing the whosyamadigger but they all said "if it isnt leaking fluid it is a quick and inexpensive fix". SO if it is leaking fluid what am I looking at having to fix, how hard is it and how much?

There's a thread or two floating around about this...

Rack and pinion is tricky. Parts of it are under extreme pressures... depends where you are leaking from.

If it's not leaking too bad and you don't want to shell out money - try lucas stop leak. Worked for me like a charm for a few months.

Would be easier to help if we knew were it was leaking from.
