I certainly can't speak to off-roading performance as I am a self-admitted "urban bruiser" owner (primarily downtown, freeway driving), but from an aesthetic perspective, imho, the 3/2 lift is the best look when you go with big tire packages.
Don't do the 2.5. It's just as affordable to go for the 3/2.
I started off with the stock front spring on Bilstein 5100 setup only to end up happy with what is essentially the toytec ultimate lift adjustable coilover. my rears are OME 895s 2" (there's a 1.5" spring too).
ride has less dive and lean. it's all good! now i'm going to add the factory sport hood and i'm done. mine's a 4x4 limited v8.
