Leather in a sport?

Possibly picking up an 05 Sport today, but I'm wondering just where the leather interior came from.

The vin number is JTEBU14RX58041672.
I'm not sure if there's a way to figure it out from that?

More than likely it was a dealer option.

My SR5 is leather too.

i know that in the Southeast, leather was available as a port installed option for Sport Editions.

My 06 SE V6 has heated leather int. No tags or labels. The heated seat button is a mini rocker type of switch located right near the seat position controls rather than set at the back end of the center console by the DAC switch. I've read that this is an add-on dealer option but I don't know.

I do know that I like leather interior in my 4R.

It could be a Classic Soft Trim (CST) or Liquid Cell leather.

Even if it came from a dealership with leather, it's aftermarket. Toyota doesn't put leather on the Sport Edition at the factory.

In some regions of the country, the distributor can add leather and other aftermarket add-ons and deliver the car to the dealer with all of that stuff pre-installed and listed on the window sticker as a port-installed option (PIO). Some PIO's are factory accessories, but in this case leather is not.

Same here. My seat heater switch is in the same spot, not in the center console as referenced in the owners manual so I know they are not OEM Toyota.

They work great though (heat up in under a minute even in the winter) and the leather seems to be holding up very well. Not a lot of cushion though, they are pretty hard. Still Im very happy with them.

Mine is from Classic Soft Trim - it's embossed on the back of the front seats.

My 06 sport came with charcoal leather new from the dealer. I do remember it referenced as liquid cell which was supposed to aid in comfort and resist drying out.

Still looks factory fresh today 4 years later.

Matches the leather in my wife's 09 camry SE.

In both cases we were told that black/charcoal leather was only an option on the sport packages so I never considered that the dealers added the leather.

Those of you with leather in sports, are your doors also leather matching the seats or are they the cloth-like stuff normally in the sports?

who knows.... if it is black/gray from katzkin then it may ave come from the '06 sport my wife totalled last year.
