Leather seat stain - solution?

I have a few black marks on my beige leather seats. They almost look like crayon marks but they aren't. It could be eyeliner or something similar. I've tried a few products to try to get it out and nothing seems to work. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'd give the old ''stand-by'' a try.....WD-40. I'm sure others will chime in with some great ideas too.

Did you try Lexus Leather Cleaner & Conditioner?

I don't have leather seats, but my friends do. They never encountered any stains, so I don't have any feedback on it for you.

However, I've used the conditioner on my dad's car before.

I haven't used Lexus cleaner, but i used a similar cleaner & conditioner package and didn't do anything. Maybe after work i'll have to post a picture so i can get some more input.

Anyone here have any "Magic Erasors" in their cupboard? My wife keeps them around, they're made to get marks off walls in homes (without damaging said walls) and they work GREAT for that.

They're slightly abrasive, but as I said, are safe even on matte finish (dry/flaky) interior paint jobs, certainly there're OK on something as resilient as leather? I don't know. Best to find a box and read the indications on it as to safe surfaces to use it on.

What I do know, is that it sounds like you need a cleaner or solution with a slight abrasiveness to it to cut through whatever marked up your seats. Silky smooth leather 'cleaners' and conditioners are likely just going to polish the marks to a high sheen and not come anywhere close to removing them.

Magic Eraser can be purchased anywhere. My friend bought it at Target, I'm sure you can find it at Walgreens, Safeway, etc.

Yes...my friend used it on his living room wall. Stain came off & it did not ruin his wall or paint.

Yeah, some of our home's interior walls are still that cheap contractor grade matte finish paint (will dust off in your hand if you rub your hand across it) and the wife discovered those Magic Eraser thingies about a year ago and they have been absolute wonders for that.

My thinking is, that if it is safe for paper-covered, cheaply painted drywall walls, that it should not stain, bleach or otherwise damage leather. But I DO NOT KNOW THIS FOR A FACT! Find some in a grocery store (in the cleaner aisle) and read the box before trying it. They were just the first "whiz bang" cleaner item that came to mind when you said you had tried the basic leather cleaning remedies aleady.
