Leather Seat, torn, getting worse...

What's the best cheap fix for this tear ? I see some $20 glue and patch kits out there that use a soldering iron type tool to patch leather and vinly seats.

A strange place for a tear to appear. Must be pulling apart. There's no direct contact with this area.

That's gonna be a tough one since it's in the stitching. I'm not a fan of vinyl glue.
