LED Back up lights

that is what I would like to do, but in the meantime can someone suggest a replacement LED bulb to replace the stock bulb for my 2000

that would be quick and easy, as I don't have a shop to work on stuffs right now

I have these installed but it is a bit long so a lot of the light shoots out the sides and not back. A lot better than stock though! You will need a 7440 size bulb.

Went with the Phillips. Very happy. Bright. The LED looks sleek in chrome. Make sure to test them before reinstalling the two screws for the lights. If they don't go on, the terminals are reversed. Pop them out, turn 180 and reinstall.

and the 7440 when I look them up say don't fit my runner

guess Ill hit a parts store and see what really fits then order the bestest

Yeah, because they are bigger than stock bulbs. But they still fit, I've got them installed right now in my 98, plug and play.

I've tried the Philips 921, well made bulb like the rest of their LED line, but it wasn't much of an improvement on my '02. On the other hand there was a noticeable difference using the same bulbs on my Tundra.

xenondepot's vehicle search says the 2000 uses a 7440 for reverse.

I got the 30 watt crees over the 100 watt as I did not know for sure how much power the 100 would pull

the 30's are a big improvement, bright white and brighter, I can see a lot better now backing into my driveway in the trees
but I would not call it a giant difference or amazing

I bet the 100's would be great
