i got another 50" curved bar and want to put it on the GX. looking for a over the windshield type mount. anyone know if 4runner mounts will work? or a company who makes them?

No one at the moment but I have a feeling that CBI stuff will work. I haven't tested this theory but I have some LED's I need to get mounted before GSMTR

i had a shop custom make my mounts -LandCruiser Northwest made my mounts for me, the bar is a Triton curved 50" bar. its awesome!

they could make more, but would need my rig back to take measurements. they didnt have time to make a template when they had mine. i just need to work some time out to get it to them.

yeah, i was shell shocked when i got the invoice, it was a lot more than i expected. but i sucked it up and am happy

i didnt pay that much, but i also know they spent about 6 or 7 hours on mine because of it being the first one... i was under $450, but yeah. i can see both sides. the crappy part for us is the vehicle is not as popular as say the tacoma or 4runner or even a f150 or tundra. so we have to pay the development price too. i mean if you look at it from a business stand point if my rig is in their shop bay, then thats one less vehicle in there that isnt making them $105 and hour. the flip side is taking the time to come up with a new design and be the frist to put it on the market gives them the entire market monopoly until someone else comes along... and right now i dont see anyone else doing that, maybe SSS...

I see both sides for sure but they'd make their money back quickly. Oh well. My buddy's dad is a metal worker/fabricator by trade so I will ask what he would charge and if he would be interested in making a template or just selling it as a kit. Would need to know the level of interest though.

IMO the biggest issue with the GX and aftermarket parts is that there aren't any! I'd really like to get a new grille to put a light bar in like the T4Rs, but I'll just have to make it myself and hope it doesn't look like a turd! I really wish someone made brackets for a GX460. I'd buy one in a heart beat.
