The latch works perfect. I had to remove the base that the pull rod was attached to. I'm currently working out a nice neat place to put the rod up higher but still accessible. I may do a full write-up once I get that dialed in.

It puts an even bigger smile on my face knowing you didn't take me seriously. I had an xj before my runner too.
And to the OP even halfway intelligible grammar is better than whatever you wrote to start with. That's how adults speak to eachother. I say you chop up and Satoshi your grill with a light bar frenched into the grill. Just make sure you make some beefy mounts to combat vibrations from the hood.
The fifth Gen works fine because the grill isn't a part of the hood like on our fourth gens. I went back and forth on whether or not to mount my visionX spotties behind the grill. I ended up mounting them on the frame horns behind the lower grill.
Whatever you choose, be sure to use protection and as always don't follow others, find your own way and leave a trail.

Thanks for the ideas! Just some words of wisdom, before you go commenting on someone else's grammar, look at yours before your post it, called proof reading. But thanks anyways! 
You see, I'm lucky to be able to have enough presence of mind to even form words into a sentence. Most of the time my psychotic tendencies won't let me get through four words, before the autocorrect functions drives me into a fit of blind rage where I destroy everything within arms reach.
But again you are correct, my grammar is no better than yours. That too upsets me very much, so much so that I may just stop posting in your thread. But probably not.

Hey OP.
Check a few pages of my build thread and i think maybe a few separate posts about installing Rigid lights.

It is not cut out at all. I also found the mesh at lowes. But my thinking was out of sight out of mind.
If you get a chance to do your cut out please post pics. i would love to see it.

OP, you just gave me another want on my list. My only concern is proper bracing for the led bar in the grill. The grill only has support on top, I wouldn't want it bouncing around on trails. Especially when the light is on, that would get on my nerves watching the light jump around.

Go Dawgs! Great looking rig.
If one were mechanically inclined, you would mount the light bar to a sturdy bracket attached to the core support. From there with precise measuring and fitment a hole cut in the grill would line up perfectly. The ark of how the hood opens would provide enough clearance for normal hood operation, while still gaining the desired aesthetics and having a solid mount with minimal vibration issues.
