what do i do? are all toyota clocks interchangeable? im selling my camry, wondering if that one will fit (its sitting in the mechanics lot now).

i need a clock and im going nuts. i cant believe the radio doesnt have a clock built-in. i also cant believe that it would go out on an 01 already when my 94 still works.

I have the exact problem too. Sometimes I bang on the center console and it comes right back on, however sometimes it would go out. Is a hit or miss thingy.

I did find something on the forums on fixing the clock. I will find it and post the link.

Like did yours just stopped working ?

i havent tried hitting it. ill try that tomorrow. i just got the truck weds (200 miles already :) ) and it was out since i picked it up.

Oh, the seller didn't state the problem when he sold you the car?

What year is your 4runner?
What I do is I hit it a few times and the clocks comes back on.

i got it from a dealer and i didnt notice it till i went to look for the time the next day.

i have to call them and find out where my jack is and my rear head rests are missing also

well, hitting it did nothing. tapping it knocked it out of the dash and into a black hole. i ll have to pull the trim off and see if i can get it back lol.:bash:

Can you give me more details of it?

The jack (if they didn't change the place) it would be under you right rear passenger seat, There is a little loop in the middle of the seat and you pull it up and the whole seat should be up. The jack is underneath the brown thingy.

yea, i figured that out from the other post :D my car didnt come with a manual :(

ok well now im totally baffled. i took the trim piece off and the clock fell out. i see a harness plug in the back...but...where in the hell is the harness? i dont see it. so i thought maybe it was battery powered- nope. no batteries. just goes right to the terminals. why cant i find the harness for the led? it couldnt have gone too far. ill try again in daylight. might have to pull the radio incase it slipped behind there <shrug>

Yeah, there should be a harness that plugs into the clock. It's usually bundled together with all of the other harnesses (I believe zip-tied together).

hmm. well i tried again this morning and i can NOT find the stupid harness. the 2 that go next to it (power switch and lights) are bundled together  i took a picture ill have to upload it. where could it have gone

i saw the little springs when i took it apart (i thought maybe it was battery powered since i couldnt find the harness)

Look at the 5th picture down at the link above. You should have all four of those, one of which plugs into the clock.

ill have to actually count them and see what i can find. like i said, i may have to pull the hvac controls out, maybe it slipped behind there?

SWEET. some schmoe plugged it into the rear window switch. would never have thought to take that off if not for the link above :) i have a clock, yes!
