LED Dash Question

I am curious if anyone else has this issue. Like many others I have replaced my lights with LEDs. I've had different ones over the years and I've lived with these like this for awhile. I have certain lights that light up ever so slightly all the time. The airbag, cruise control, battery, and gas light all do this, nothing else. Once the gas gets low enough to trigger the warning it gets brighter, same when I turn on the cruise control, it gets brighter. If I use regular bulbs in those sockets then it doesn't do it, but I like the LEDs because they are brighter and look better. I've tried different brand LED's as well. Does anyone have any idea why it does this?

This is before it gets brighter, this is how bright it always is until the gas level drops and the warning comes but can be hard to tell the difference sometimes in brightness.

Maybe light leakage from the warning light bulb into the gauge area?

They are very separate electrically.

No it's the bulbs in those sockets actually slightly lighting up. I've checked to make sure and you can see the bulbs lit up. It's weird, I dont get why it's just those 4 certain LED's that light up like that, and like I said I tried different brands incase it was that, but it's still the same in just those 4 spots. I have the same LED's in all the other possible spots and they don't do that.

It's possibly because LED's take such little amperage to actually power up, and the stock setup is designed to feed enough power to power a stock bulb.
However, this wouldn't speak to why it only happens in a few bulbs.
I have this same issue and know of the issue in other vehicles as well. I know a fella who used a thin piece of black tint from his tint shop in order to make it appear as if it wasn't on when it's not supposed to be, and when it's actually supposed to be illuminated, it's unnoticeably dimmer because of the tint. I know another who adds a 1k ohm, 1/2w resistor in to each circuit.

Ya, it looks like light bleeding into the warning lamps. It's that an aftermarket gauge overlay?

It's not bleeding over. I've already checked that. It's the LED's. And yes, they are gauge faces that I had made from Black Cat Custom Automotive - Gauge Faces for all makes and models of cars and trucks - LED Lighting Upgrades

Weird. I did an LED conversion mine and had none of those issues.
