LED daytime running lights?

Confirmed. There is no LED kit nor bulbs that replicate the OEM function. It's either full on brights (i.e. brights as DRLs) or you get a flicker (which is actually full on bright flickering haha).

thanks for the information

in a couple of weeks (busy now) i'll probably look for 'HB3' sockets and look at the waveform (presumable it's just 50% duty cycle PWM at a few kHz); maybe someone has done this, i googled and didn't find much

i'm guessing it should be possible to detect DRL mode (and therefore high-beam mode) to filter out the DRL behavior; if there are other lights that are suitable i might see if i can get those to light weakly, perhaps just the normal headlamps though if i want those to be LED at some point ...

I just installed and am super stoked with:
XenonDepot's 9005 XTREME LED HEADLIGHT KIT
9005 LED Headlight Kit | 9005 LED DRL (Daytime Running Light) Upgrade

A ton of info here:

TL:DR is there will be a flicker if you don't install the CANbus...
and they run at full power in DRL, but who cares as it's daytime, you're not blinding anyone (might be a different story at dusk/twilight).
Super great product and support.
