I had a set of led headlight bulbs and they wouldn't fit due to the sideways mount projector.
I did however just pull the trigger on a set of 5000k hid kit n the 6000k led kit from XD. They told me that that pairing would be 99% the same in color. I want the white look but he told me the led has a slight hint of blue that's why they steered me towards the 6500 hid

We're the LED's that didn't fit the ones from XD with the soft copper heat sink? I told the guy the headlight housing was sealed and he said it'd fit. we'll see what happens. What'd the HID kit run you?

No the led I tried putting in there had a fan behind it that's most likely why. The way the bulb mounts in there kills space as opposed to the regular stuff I'm use to. And the hid kit was like 154 or something. I got the 15% off plus free shipping n all. The new setup should be nice

If you take a look at my first pic, you'll see there's a small capacitor on the chord for the H16. It comes with zip ties, and its easy to secure them.

The Philips h11 LED bulb will not be bright enough to run as a low beam bulb. If you want LED low beams, then take a look at the XenonDepot H11 LED headlight bulb.

It's not really a backorder -- more of a small improvement. The new bulbs (due to arrive end of this week or beginning of next) will have an aluminum bases, as opposed to plastic tabs like the previous ones did.

Ive been gone this weekend but my stuff all came in last thursday and i threw it it on Friday and wow it looks awesome and the light output is amazing. ill post up a pic later tonight but knowing my it will be upside down. Im glad i listened to the guy at XD and did the 6500k HID and the 6000k LED. they match perfect

Too dim in my opinion when used as the low-beams headlights

I did try originally to put those LED's as headlights. They were not bright enough for some reason in the headlight spot.
I believe it had to do with the angle that the LED's face once screwed in to the housing and the way the reflector/projector works in the headlights that they are not optimized for that.
Back in the Fog-light position they are great!
Be warned though, for the 2015 at least...removing the fog-lights; although you don't have to disassemble the front bumper and can reach from underneath; the housing used for adjusting the fog-light beam has a plastic tab that interferes with the twisting-out of the original factory bulb. It is a PIA but you have to remove two Phillips head screws that are paired on the outer-most edge of the housing (depending on whether driver or passenger side). The same inner-sided screw brackets are simply wedged into respective slots. Remove the whole bulb-reflector-adjuster assembly to be able to twist out the old bulb.
Passenger side is even more difficult as the whole assembly has some kind of plastic shielding open at the bottom (Imagine and upside down, plastic, big-gulp cup missing 1/4 of a side). I can only assume (yes have at it) that it is to protect the fog light from getting any direct squirts from the windshield washer reservoir if it springs a leak or a tube comes loose.
These pictures aren't the greatest but hope it helps:
First Picture is a side-by-side comparison of the factory and Phillips H11 bulb assembly
Second Picture is factory bulb in head-light housing
Third Picture is Phillips H11 LED light squeezed into head-light housing and yes the white cover that seals the headlights did fit back on correctly with no mods to it.
Fourth picture shows the interfering tab that keeps one from simply twisting out the factory fog-light bulb (maybe an anti-theft or tom-foolery feature?)
Fifth picture just shows the two phillips head screws one is dim like the dark-side of the moon.

WOAH WOAH WOAH!! All you have to do to remove the bulb is disconnect the plug for it and it twists right out! No need to remove anything at all! I installed mine in 15 minutes.
weird cus I didnt remove any screws on my fogs at all. the OEM bulbs came right out and the new ones went right in. that shield thing on the passengers side is there so there bulb/harness doesnt get wet since the passenger side fender well has slits in it and drivers does not

LOL! I guess I went too far and complicated things way too much all by myself!! I never thought to unplug the wire first! :redbrick::lol:
To believe I did it on the most humid night possible here in MD where I was upside down sweating into my own eyes trying to get those fog-lights out!
At least I'm glad I posted this so other could learn (including myself).
The new LED lights twist right out without having to unplug them! LOL!
