LED Illumination Package

Has anyone had experience with the LED Illumination Package, Toyota part number 00016-00069 from Southeast Toyota distributors (SET): 00016-00069 - LED Illumination Puddle Lights - | Sparks Parts

It includes both exterior puddle lamps, and interior foot well lamps. Can the foot well lamps be used by themselves?

Supposedly, this package is for a variety of Toyotas, but does have instructions specific to the 4Runner: http://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/install/00016-00069-2018-rav4.pdf

Nope, but the drilling through metal and re-sealing floor holes gives me the willies.

I did get a good idea for running rock lighting from the instructions tho.

This feature did not appear on my build sheet. Puddle lamps under the side mirrors should be sufficient to light up under both doors if swapped with LEDs.

I have the interior LED package (separate option for map lights, dome lights). But my exterior light such as turns, reverse, plate lights, and puddles are all halogen.

I would not drill into my body metal, either! I believe I already have (extremely subtle) footwell lighting but no lights along my running boards as shown.

This thread got me thinking I don’t think my 4Runner I’ve owned for 10 months even has a single stock light left in it ?

Headlights, tail lights , mirror sequential signals , puddle lights ,fog lights , all interior lights swapped to LED’s and even license plate light has been swapped.

The only thing to add to the OP’s question is sorry I don’t have any info on the LED illumination package but it would have been nice to order some of them stock with LED’s. Honestly though you can source better aftermarket than what they’d supply stock anyways , and once you do some of it LED, you won’t be happy with the rest as incandescent…….trust me it’s a slippery slope

That kit would not appear on a factory build sheet because they are from South East Toyota, which is the exclusive distributor for vehicles to the gulf states.

I agree with not wanting to drill into metal.

Well I’ll be. Read the fine print right? [emoji23]
