Putting together a kit for the 3rd gen! The price is in my sig listing! Waiting on the map lights to arrive! For now! The main attraction! The 48SMD LED dome light! Now, I have never seen a UFO before, but this comes close haha:thumb3: The pics of the 3rd gen runner below is only being lit up by the two dome lights!

Feedback?

HOLY S**T that's bright! I want it haha.

And at the price point, it will be highly affordable! ($34+shipping) for the 3rd gen 4runner kit!
The $34 kit includes the following:

*License plate lights can be added for $3!

I am working on getting two small panels for the map lights! Preferrably two small SMD panels! I was able to price out how much extra it would be to add two smaller 6SMD 5050 LED panels for the two map lights. It would be an extra $18 to add the panels to the maps! I found that not reasonable for the buyers at this time! Maybe in the future I can offer it as an upgrade to all kits that I am selling but for now I will stick with 5SMD bulbs for the maps! Pics to come! Here you can see the space available in the map housing(I'm aware that some 3rd gen 4runners have the two separate map housing lens...but if you have what is pictured below, then a map panel is possible)

Another option would be $15 extra and add one larger(but smaller than the 48SMD panel) to the map light area(take off the little metal piece in the middle) but then you lose the functionality of two separate map lights! I am taking suggestions on what to do with this kit! I can make changes according to order but having one solid kit is ideal! But at the same time, I do not want to have everyone paying the extra $18 for two map light panels!(note: map light panels will hurt your eyes, I have them in my truck's map lights)

Just to clarify there are four lights total, one for cargo and one for passenger dome lights and two for the map lights up front right? And are these so bright that they might be obnoxious
?

The two dome lights are obnoxious bright! The map lights are going to be obnoxious if I add panels there too! For now, it wont be a panel but it will be a 5smd led bulb but if you want the panels, I have samples coming to take pics of!

Looks Great - Question...

How do the LED panels plug in? I see the wiring from the LED, but it doesn't look like the existing power source. Is there additional wiring that needs to be done?

Also, maybe it's just my ignorance, but does 5SMD mean there are 5 individual LEDs, 48SMD mean 48 (6 rows of 8)?

What about dabbling in gauge cluster lightes? And can I get them In different colors?

Gauge cluster lights are more difficult to source because there are so many variations and I do not want to sell anything that I am unsure of:ybrick:

Sorry man! As for different colors, what were you thinking?

Question 1: The LED panel plugs in using an adapter! The adapter has the shape of the bulb that came from toyota and has wires running from it to the new dome panel! And good news, no additional wiring is needed:hatsoff:

Question 2: The format is always described as one bulb so it goes

[number of LED's and type of LED's occupying the bulb][bulb type]

so the 48SMD LED panel is one panel with 48SMD's on it! Yes, it is a 6 rows with 8 bulbs in each row! Hope this helps:D

I know, exactly what I said:wow: Let me know if you want a kit!

Ok these seem really cool, but I'm slightly confused. I have two separate map lights so would that be an extra $18 for me? These are really cool and I really want them! I have mine off to begin with, but when I want light...I WANT LIGHT and the stock brightness is horrible.

NO NO NO! Sorry for the confusion!

I said that the additional $18 will be if I get two separate smaller panels(6SMD 5050 panels) for the map lights in the kit! Which is why I am making it as an "upgrade" to the kits! Ideally the kits I put together need to be affordable! Which is why the basic 3rd gen kit is $34! The original kit which is mentioned in the listing will come with two LED map bulbs which are exact same as the stock bulbs, but have 5SMD LED's on them and are much brighter and whiter than stock!

Sorry for the confusion, I suck at explaining sometimes!:thumb3:

wow i wish i wouldve seen this about a week earlier, i just got my 48 led panels in the mail today in the warm white not the crazy white color. i could tell they were on in the daytime when the door was open. I highly recommend this.

would it also be possible to get just the map lights and if so how much for obnoxious bright?

You could just return the dome lights you got! Lol jk!

Well I will be posting! I do not post the pics until I am happy! I am really anal about the light matching! The two small LED map light panels will have 6SMD 5050 LED's each! I am excited! I will post up by wednesday!

If you are happy with the maps, I'll gladly sell them individually to you:D

Just as a price point, how much did you pay for your 48LED panels? And are they smd?

there are only 4 bulbs for the 3rd gen! So either 1. 2x 5SMD LED map lights and 2x 48SMD LED dome lights or 2. 2x 6SMD 5050 LED map light panels and 2x 48SMD LED dome lights. The second option is $18 more because it puts out way more light in the map lights than the first option! Also, if you want to add license plate lights, it will be $3 to your total! I personally think the first option is more ambient, because honestly the second option with two map lights might not allow you to read peacefully lol

The panels have adapters! They plug in with what looks like the oem bulb but has two wires coming out of it leading to the panel:hatsoff:

You should get in on the group buy and be on the list because the kit will be $5 more if you buy it when the group buy is closed!

Haha no no you're fine, I just got confused. So for $34 you get two lights for the maps, and one for the middle dome and one for the rear dome?

How do I order? PayPal?

i wouldnt worry about the map lights matching since i dont usually have to use them along with the dome lights except for if i need to find something in the dark

for the 48 led panels it was $15 a piece with an adapter for the oem size bulb which was an extra 79 cents plus S&H.

Website says smt or surface mount technology. not very electronically inclined so im not sure what that means haha

Sounds good, I just wanted to make sure I had competitive pricing! So for the map lights that you were interested in, did you want the "bulbs" or the smaller 6SMD LED panels?
