LED replacement bulbs

That seems really high for what you get.

There are no real numbers as to the lumens these put out. By the pics I'm not impressed. Something to remember on putting bright LEDs in the cabin, the brighter the light the more it will affect your night vision. I'm looking at up grading the cargo area, puddle and door entry bulbs. I'm not going to mess with the dome lights because I don't to blind my night vision if they are turned on.

I'm going to get these from JDM Astar. You can get them on Amazon or direct from JDM Astar.

does this include all the lights needed?

That answer is going to depend on the model. Some versions have puddle lights others don't. It also depends on what lights you want to upgrade.

The below info isn't vary specific. I would suggest that you contact the seller with the specific bulbs you are wanting to update.

I got a set off e-bay. I forget the name of the guy, but they were ~20$. Needless to say, after maybe 1.5 years, they are all flickering messes. I have half of them turned off because it pisses me off so much, but I haven't had the motivation to change them yet.

I'll probably cough up the coin for the Phillips brand bulbs on the next go-round.

eah, I did the $20 Ebay special and then went to Philips. The ebay ones were brighter and a better color IMO. Still have them in my Puddle lights.

The Phillips were a let down. not very bright and white. I prefer the higher temp Ebay ones... unfortunately they didn't last long enough.

Well that's definitely good to know.

Don't waste your time on Phillips. I started with them and ended up replacing them all with JDM ASTAR's from Amazon. There's a huge difference in light output and a little in price (Phillips more expensive). Pics in my thread (click signature).
I did have the dome light start to flicker after 10 months of the 1 year warranty. I emailed JDM ASTAR, as requested sent them a video of it doing it, and they sent me a replacement at no cost to me. I like a company that makes warranty stuff like that easy.

I guess my route has changed.

Led

Hey guys, although I haven't received my 4R yet, my plan is to replace the interior lights with LEDs from Oznium

https://www.oznium.com/

I did the replacements for my FJC and they were AMAZING. Super bright and well made. Basically, they are a flat panel and come with a bunch of connectors. You just need to buy to fit the size of the light. Much better IMHO than the tiny replacement bulbs.

Just my two-cents.

I have the Precision LED 6000k premium package. No problems after 6mos. installed. More blue than I wanted, but the company didn't offer a package less than 6000k. Super bright; almost too bright-solved my lighting problem (or lack thereof) with the cargo area; I don't even have the map lights set to illuminate with door opening because the dome light is bright enough alone. I didn't install the puddle lights, and used them with the vanity mirrors instead. They are not cheap, but seemed more of a known quantity and better supported than eBay or Amazon bulb packages. The tools supplied with the kit are decent. The web install tutorial is decent.

Inexpensive household LEDs usually show a significant decrease in light output over time when compared to higher quality LEDs. I'm guessing our low-cost Amazon LEDs will behave the same way. Only time (and an accurate light meter) will tell. I used Phillips for the reverse lights for their presumed sustained output.

If lighting is mission-critical (and none of this is, really) I consult candlepower.com where the experts hang.

+1 on the JDM ASTAR. I installed them in the interior, puddle lights, reverse tag lights.
