LED tails and 3rd brake light PICS***

I got the smoked LED tails that i got for christmas installed yesterday and here are some pics! Im trying to decide if I like the tail light guards over them or not. Let me know what you think.

So for the 3rd brake light I was going to do the LED but didnt want to go through the trouble of the whole ABS light and stuff. So instead I kept the same brake light but bought a cover from custombrakelights.com. It's just a sticker that you put over your brake light, but I like how it looks! Special thanks to Ric for this mod

For installation i just took off the spoiler and that made it really easy to line it up perfectly.

That looks DOPE. I am usually not a fan of tail light guards but I think you pull them off with ease. Especially with the LED's behind them. Two thumbs up. Now that you have the smoked LED's on, what do you think they would look like on a silver 4Runner? I am deciding between the smoked and the clears at this point

Im not a fan of the clear, but i think the smoked LED's would look great on a silver runner. I have liked them on every color I have seen them on so far!

i think you should keep the light covers on there. and on the 3rd break light cover did you click the custom font one? i'm debating on getting TRD of the 4runner one like you got.

yes the LED tails look sweet behind those guards like that

can't swing you guys way on the 3rd brake light covers though-that is obscuring the light which will get you a ticket sooner or later....

Jeff Co Sheriff's are very tough on those....

I believe the fine is $110 in your county-it's only like $73 over here but either way....

Did you have to throw your spare in the trunk since it hangs below that bumper. I was wondering if its worth adding a swing away tire carrier to an off road bumper like that.

I have seen some that have carriers that wish they didn't have them on the back of their trucks all the time. Now that you have experience, what is your take?

Im really not worried about getting a ticket or anything. I think the black part of the sticker is tint, like 5% or maybe something darker im not sure... But it still lets out a lot of light, and unless your looking for it i think you'd miss it. I'll post a night pic once it gets dark to give you a better idea of the light output.

Yeah, there wasnt very much room back there though, I got my subs sitting on the spare right now, lol! I could have put it back under there but it was a pain in the a$$ to get it down since i have a body lift. Im thinking i might get a roof rack and throw it up there, but that means no more lazy car washes ( i barely fit now), no more parking garages etc, and i dont know what i'd do with my snowboard rack... We'll see. But I dont like the tire carriers on the back of the bumpers, i think it obstructs your view out the back and i like the look without it anyways.

I think it puts out plenty of light to warn people you are stopping.

yep, its one of those ones that you peel off the first layer and its on a clear background then you apply it to the surface then peel off the clear part again. Did that make any sense at all? lol. Im not sure what kind of stickers those are called... but they are the good quality kind of stickers.

Not unless you get up close. I'd say most people wouldnt even notice cause the spoiler is black and it kinda just all blends together. So it sorta takes on the tinted look, and if you step back like 15-20 feet its hard to notice that there is a break light up there.

if my carbon fiber altezza lights didn't hold up sentimental value as a christmas present from my girlfriend i would defiantly throw them things away and grab a set of the smoke or the black tails. they look really good on your white truck.

do you know if that site accepts paypal on those orders? i'm pretty sure i'm gonna get one considering i dont even have the rear spoiler to worry about. would just an LED bulb in the 3rd break light set off the ABS light? i'm gonna upgrade the bulb while i'm at it so it will look cooler AND be safer at the same time :bigok:

and on a side not, how does the subs do sitting on your spare? i'm considering doing that to mine if yours works out fine that way. i dont really like the look of my spare on my roof rack and it would be a pain in the ass to have to get it off if i ever needed it.
