led's from superbright!

This is the quality item from them. The light was flickering so when I went to replace it, thid is what I found. Anyone else have this problem? Who else can I get better ones from? The ones in my cluster are going out as well.

They are all made in the PRC with little to no quality control for the product being made. Just buy another one and hope for the best.

Yep, in my experience they're all junk. I bought a bunch from Superbright and had several that were dead right out of the packaging.

I bought my dashlights from SuperbrightLEDs over a year ago and have not had an issue with them.

This is why I just by the cheapest possible from Amazon/Ebay and not go for the overpriced ones on superbrightleds.com. They are all made in the same manner, one just costs 5x as much!

And for the record, I've never had one of my "cheapo's" break or fail on me. But then again I know what kind of SMD LEDs I'm looking for before I go in.

P.S. if you want bright lights, go for 5630's. The best as far as brightness (50 lumens per LED) and cost. The CREE LEDs are nice but pricey, not sure which kind broke on you though. Also the most common LEDs, 3528, are rather dim unless there's massive amounts of them. They are getting outdated fast.

Yeah, all LED's are built to ISO class 1. I use to build LED boards for Hella, we didn't give two shits when we were building them. If they passed the test at the end of the line we kept them, if not we scrapped them.

Pretty much all LED replacement bulbs are junk, I replaced almost every bulb on my 4Runner with LED's at some point or another, now the only one that is still going is one of the license plate lights. I switched back to regular bulbs.

Yea, had some problems also. A couple in my dash (24s) started to flicker. The problem is the solder points under the LED pad. I could see where one of the zener diode's ends came loose from underneath. I sent superbrightleds.com several pictures and a description of the problem. Bought some more and the ones I just got last week use a smaller zener diode and resistor tucked up nicely underneath the pad. Almost couldn't see the components under there at all unlike the first ones which had "standard" size components. Hopefully they'll work better. Haven't had any problems so far with my 74s all throughout my interior (for about 11 months) and the map light, and dome lights are good (for about 2 months). No LEDs exterior.
