Left front rattle

2008 4Runner has a rattle that I believe is coming from the left front area. Only hear it at speeds of 60+ when the wind force conditions change ie. passing, meeting on coming traffic, following other vehicles, STRONG head winds? Seems like possible mud flap, wheel well,?? Anyone else experiencing or having same issue?

I just purchased a 2007 v6 SR5 with 38K miles on it and when I drive 60+ miles per hour I also get an intermittent noise comming from the drivers side of the car. It's not a loud noise, but it's noticable even with the radio on.

Let me know what you find out.

I had a rattle on my 08 as well and after many worthless trips to the dealer i found the problem myself. It was my drain plug cover under the car. All it is is a piece of plastic screwed onto metal just flapping around. Since I took it off I dont hear the rattle in the front any more. Check it out

I found the rattle comming from my roof rack. The two screws holding the crossbar to the track member was loose. After tightening the two torx screws I have no more rattles in the 4Runner.

I thought the noise was coming from the front driver side or the cargo area, but it was the roof rack.
