So I bumped my left front on a pole. See picture below. I'm wondering how much it would cost to repair it. Anyone know? Can I simply put a 'bra' on it?
Polish it out and pull the ding out. Touch-Up, bit of Wetsand, clear coat and wax. You'll barely be able to tell it. A shop will charge you an arm and a leg.
A shop will just replace the bumper cover. And, no, that won't be cheap. Hundreds of dollars just for the part, then there is disassembly, painting, reassembly.
If you are in SoCal...call Bumper Solutions. They repaired a pretty severe oops in my rear bumper from a 4x trip. It was 300 bucks and fixed in a few hours. The guy was quick and did an excellent job. He pulled out the damage. Sanded it filled the cracks, smoothed everything out sanded it again and then primed it and painted it and clear coated it. They should be able to give you an estimate and they will do the work at your office or home. If you aren't in SoCal there might be someone in your area who does similar work. If you really don't care just cover it with a bra.
I poured Hot Water in that , yes boiling, straight from the keetle.
But I am concerned if it will damage your paint, mine is unpainted.
And when it pop up, you can use touch up paint.
Below is a pic where I dented my bumper cover, same as yours.
Boiling water I assumed is 212 degrees F, most paint can resist that temp IMO (I'll gamble if its my vehicle).
