Left signal louder than right???

did the DRL swap on my brothers 4Runner and now the left turn signal sound is LOUD. but the right is normal.

what could this be? faulty relay?

Hmmmmm, that's interesting! I did this DRL mod on my truck and the turn sigs are normal. Did you two "disconnect" the negative side of the battery before replacing the DRL relay. One should always cut the power before doing any power related installations.........especially on the autos of today with a megaton of electronics.

one deff. should. but sometimes one gets all excited about installing a new toy and one forgets to do the basics... i do crap like that all the time.

could this have resulted in a louder sound only on one side?

Errrrrrrrrr.................YEP! There could have been a small charge when you were installing the new DRL relay. This could have cause some slight damage internal to the relay.

You can try this: Disconnect the negative side of the battery cable for about 30 mins or so. See if this will perhaps reset the relay or turn signal noise maker back to its original settings. It worth a try to do this before going out to purchase another relay. We all know this is not the easiest of relays to install. Good luck with the battery disconnect.
