well i got about $150 leftover christmas money. i was thinking about upgrading all 4 speakers. the speakers in right now have no bass at all. my home radio plays better. well i want to order from crutchfield. i know that the fronts can be 4" and the rear 5 1/4" or 6 1/2'. the ones i plan on getting are Rockford Fosgate's all the way around. what do you guys think about rockford's? worth it? i chose rockford's cuz overall they had good ratings. i know that installation is just simply removing the old ones and placing in the new ones. right? i've heard that the front might be a problem when getting them to fit. true?

here are the ones for the dash: they are 4"

here's for the back panel: they are 6 1/2"

For that $150, I'd say go with Infinity's 4002i ($63.99) and 6002i ($79.99). They would sound better than the Rockford's. And You can find them cheaper elsewhere.

I had those in my 4Runner for a while running off just the head unit and it sounded good.

But for that price, the Rockford's aren't bad.

yea im thinking about going infinity now. do you guys know if they are slim enough to go in without modification?

i have no manual for my runner. is the original size for the rear 5 1/4 right? on crutchfield it says that 6 1/2 could go in no prob. true?

I checked the circuit city website they say yours is 5 1/4 and 4 in rear. they charge $30. set for install. they also sell the infinitys but more money than hookedontronics

UPDATE! not getting new speakers anymore. i asked my dad if we can switch the speakers from my moms runna to mine. he said ok so were doing it on monday. i don't know what kind of speakers they are but they have more bass than the ones in mine. quick ques: is there a write up in installing front speakers? i want to make sure i do it right the first time.
