LEGO 4Runner

I’ve been a big LEGO fan my whole life and saw some potential with the recent Bronco set. I downloaded the LEGO Studio software and got to work. 20-30 hrs later, a couple orders on Bricklink, and I have a LEGO twin for my actual 4Runner.

The blue one is for the daughters of one of my closest friends. My friend was killed while riding his bike 2 years ago and his oldest girl is a big LEGO fan, so I wanted to make a blue 4Runner like her dad had.

I also made some different iterations, too.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in building their own, I’ve put the instructions for the Voodoo Blue up on Rebrickable. LEGO MOC 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro Voodoo Blue by qtb007 | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO

$10 for the instructions and probably $60 for the 500 parts needed to build your own. Super white ‘22 has been submitted; just awaiting approval. I’ll probably put the blue SR5 and red TRD OR later this week. The Lunar Rock overlander isn’t buildable because LEGO doesn’t offer those colors right now, but I’m going to build a Tacoma and submit the two as a LEGO Ideas submission.

Can you upload the design for the Lunar Rock one just in a different color?

I probably will eventually. I haven’t built the different mods in person so I don’t know if it meets my required quality levels.

I’ve run into a problem with Rebrickable. They only let me put up one color way, apparently. I can include multiple instruction sets, but I haven’t figured out how to put up multiple BOMs so we could have blue, red, black, silver, grey, etc.

Very nice. Love the overlander. Have to admit, when I first glanced at the first photo, I thought it was a Bronco Sport … :peep:

Placed my order for the instructions and got bricks for a white build! Can't wait to see this on my shelf, and it's almost the same price as the scalpers want for the hot wheels.

I'd love an official LEGO model. I think it may happen. Might end up being for the 6th gen though. Not a huge fan of the Speed Champions, but I'd buy a 4Runner or Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2.

Definitely

If you add the Luna rock one to I would purchase that with all accessories and build it Salsa Red Pearl like mine.

Unfortunately, lunar rock isn’t yet made in the pieces required for the full build. Red, though, works. I’m going to adjust the project on Rebrickable to have an easy color swap when you go to buy the bricks. Basically everything blue will be switched to white, black, red, yellow, grey, or dark grey. I’ve confirmed all those colors work. I'm also going to basically include mods with the instructions. So off-road bumper, swing out rear bumper, RTT. Maybe a few other things as I tinker on it.

Anyway, work was super crazy the past couple weeks with a trial engine build on my project at work, so I decompressed and found a little Lego inspiration.

And did a prototype of the RTT… much to the chagrin of my wife. [emoji1787]

Were you able to make this happen? I'm interested in dark grey

thanks!
