Lesson learned - The ground next to a lake isnt as sturdy as it may look.

So I was bored today and went to go take my waverunner out decided to go to the back side of the lake and shore launch. Ground looked just fine so i got a little closer to the water to turn and line up to back into the water...i didnt get very far into the turn. Luckily there was a guy fishing 100 yrds to the side of me and he was able to come and yank me out real quick. Needless to say i just went to the boat launch and paid the 10 bucks and to top it all off the stupid ski wouldnt start...oh well just one of those days when nothing goes right. Im sure if i had some more aggressive tires i would have been much better off.

Don't feel bad man, I've done the same thing and had to get a Jeep to pull me out. Btw I will have to agree with Fo_SheeZy, the second pic is a keeper.

It was quite a fun experience. I didnt really try to get out by myself in fear of getting more stuck. I was alone thinking oh ill just go to the lake. I was fortunate enough that there was someone out there fishing in the same spot.

Aggressive tires would be nice, but i doubt that you would benefit much from them. You can get Mud-terrains and they may help you in that situation. However, i think that a locker, LSD, or traction control would be of more benefit.

I think your right, nothing short of lockers would have helped. traction control was trying to work but it wasnt getting much done.

Sorry, more aggressive tires wouldn't have helped you there! Buried my tacoma the same way near a lakeshore several years back, chalk another one up for experience.
