IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE
UNITED STATES/CANADA
DID NOTPURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THESAME TIME, THE OILCOMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.


AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS, AT LEAST, WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.


THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT TO THEM" DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THATDAY.


THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.

WAITING ON THIS ADMIINSTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!


WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.

I`ve thought about doing something like that. It`s a good idea. Something we might also do is have everyone not buy gas from one company for a week and another the next and so on until the price comes down, but how do we get the info out to everyone in North America. What gets me is that the price of crude oil is the highest it has been in 13 years so why isn`t the price of gas the same as 13 years ago. The companies must be making a killing making nearly double that of a decade ago. I guess I don`t buy gas on the 19th of May!

Post it on all the sites

One way to get the message across is to post this request on all of the sites that you visit on the net,I recently had an on camera interview with CTV/ATV Television and it will air today at 6:00 pm on the nightly news,I am planning to drive to all of the local community public bulletin boards and place a post as I have to go there anyways every week to advertise for my tv repair business.

The assertion that this plan will result in lower gas prices appears unfounded at best. The scheme 'perhaps' creates a short-term distribution problem and has has no clear impact on demand. The additional distribution costs, if any, resulting from this one-time event are likely to be passed on to the end consumer.

Even assuming the scheme does effect demand. Global gasoline distribution is almost completely controlled by OPEC. A reduction in demand will be met with a prompt reduction in supply. If long-term behavior isn't changed, demand will ultimately return and given the reduced supply will result in increased prices.

No matter what you believe, I'm fairly sure I speak for everyone here when I say "PLEASE DON'T POST YOUR POLITICAL CRAP HERE!" I already have enough nonsensical spam in my various email accounts.

Not to mention that a single day isn't all that significant...especially a day like Wednesday. For example, I only buy gas on Sunday nights (or Thursday mornings) before I go out of town.
