Lets hear about your Home Theater setup

Just curious what everyone has for a home theater system.

My setup is as follows:

TV: 47" LG Backlit LED 3d. (Thinking of going to 4k soon)
Blu-ray: Panasonic 3d Blu-ray player
Receiver: Harman Kardon AVR-435 7.1 channel
Front/Main speakers: Infinity SM-152 or JBL Northridge ND310 (I love them both haha)
Center: Definitive Technology CLR 1001
Rear Surrounds: Definitive Technology BP-2 Bi-polar
Subwoofer: Sunfire True Signature Subwoofer (read up on this powerhouse and then hate me for the fact that I paid $12 for it at a thrift store:humble

Everyone who comes over is amazed at the quality and sound this setup puts out. It will literally rattle the tin roof on my back patio yet is crystal clear and precise.

Curious to see what else everyone has.

cool. I have an older AVR-430 (2004) and just upgraded my living room system.

* Sony 42" LCD 1080P TV
* PS3
* Harman Kardon AVR-3700 (125 W x 7)
* Bose 301 Series Bookshelf Speakers (as front L/R)
* Infinity Primus Center Channel
Surround speakers are nill. I have them but not good for my current room layout so I'm running 3.2 surround.
* Infinity Primus 12" 400W RMS SUB
* Klipsch 12" 450W RMS SUB

I myself enjoy a nice plate of bacon wrapped filet mignon while watching cops reloaded on my 22 inch Vizio. I can't afford a nice setup as a college student.

I should, but too lazy and not knowledgeable enough (due to laziness to learn). Instead, I rely solely on Audyssey MultEQ XT room correction to make up for it, which does a great job IMHO.

I don't know anything about the Vantage series, but I know with my Aeon's that there is most definitely ONE sweet spot and then quite a bit of noticeable drop off if you're outside of that. Is that the case with the Vantage?

I think that Vantage got better with dispersion. For my room (17x11), it is plenty wide in dispersion. Despite my Stage concavity, the center dispersion is also pretty good. I am not sure what ML did with Vantage and Stage, but i don't hear much complaints on ML forums about dispersion. (Note, i have not visited ML forum in a while.)

Nice. I've never really read the thoughts or reviews on the Aeons or any speaker that followed. I listened to them at my local Magnolia Hi-Fi and bought them on the spot. Compared to the other speakers I listened to, they were heads and tails above them. But definitely the downside is that you're not going to have great room filling sound with them. That's ok. I listen to them when I just want to relax. I never have times where I feel the need to fill a room with super great sound.

Here's a pic of them. I'm in the process of rearranging my living room, so that's why they're in the spot they are.

They sound like a great speaker! Yeah, I currently have them matched up with a powered M&K 12" subwoofer. I like the combo.

I had to come up with something because our living room has a 15 ft ceiling and was too lively (bad echoes). My system at the time sounded way to bright.

I currently have the Auralex pannels behind the fronts and center.

And for the walls I used wool rugs between the rear speakers and the wall behind the TV.

To enhance the sound absorption I put 3/4 inch thick "nufoam" which is
a compressed polyester batting behind the rugs.

Somewhat Low tech but the combination of the sound absorbing material and the Audyssey MultEQ XT room correction it works great..

Not quite so high end as you guys...but my "home theater" in my family room is simply a Sony sound bar with sub that has a built in bluray, 55" 1080p LED Sony Bravia. Although I've been considering a 2.1 set up down there.

It works well together, but for movie watching, music and games I head to the man cave.

I have a Toshiba 50" 1080p LED with Marantz receiver and dvd powering some old Bose 401's that belonged to my parents, a Yamaha forward firing sub, and Sony center and bookshelf rears. Sounds good to me, especially stereo. Plus I'm just in love with the Marantz aesthetic.

I used to have a nice Pardigm setup but I blew out those speakers being damn irresponsible.

Also, not theater but stereo related. Who doesn't love a couple Technics 1200's?
