Lets see your shower ideas

I was watching this video https://youtu.be/dG2HK9JsAjw and I like the simplicity and the idea. My girl insists that she would like clean water if we go camping. I was looking at waterPORT but it seems little pricey. Anyone make anything custom? Mount it anywhere random? My idea is I'd make something like the guy in the video and only put it on when I go camping.

Seems elaborate. Camping near a lake or river is much simpler!

A Port-A-Shower is cheap, and works really well. You only need an air compressor to pressurize it. The Road Shower is another great item, but a little more expensive.

I made one. works great. see my past posts. I even posted a parts list with links. about $80 in parts. 1 afternoon to build.

Subscribed. Interested in other peoples set-ups.

I've been looking into this subject extensively and found one big challenge to the showers. Heat (warm water). If this is not a necessity then your options are endless.

It takes a very large amount of power to heat water. So warm water is luxury and there are limited options on how to achieve it.

I have seen elaborate water lines linked to your cooling system in the engine bay to bypass the need for a heater otherwise powering a heating element will basically come down to a generator.

You can also construct a PVC 10 gallon chamber to mount on the roof rack in black and use the heat from the sun.

So far my solution has come in the cheapest option. I use a 15$ shower pump kit (powered through the cigarette lighter socket) and a sparklets bottle. I usually use the shower same day for the beach so I fill up hot water at home and it's still warm later in the day. If you were camping you can always heat a gallon of water over a camping stove and mix it with the cold water in the bottle and have a warm shower anytime.

Yeah but you know how some females are about their hair ? She has thin hair and is self conscious. So she has expensive extensions in. Still, I think a shower is a very nice way to refresh your self. Not always will there be a lake. And what I like th most about this. Is it can be mounted on the roof. So it's not taking up storage in the back.

Tell me, this is not freaking awesome lol!!!!

How do you keep the water in that from getting TOO hot? At my old house I had an irrigation setup for my vegetable garden drawing from a creek- the water that sat in the black poly tubing on a hot summer's day would get hot enough to scold...

wonder if you could do a parallel white insulated tube for cold water and some sort of mixing valve.
