Let’s see your Shower system

I’m thinking of building a solar shower system based on the DIY one by REI. However, I have a Yakima roof basket with two Plano Sportsman trunks, and trying to decide how the shower system should be mounted.

Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of my setup in use, but mine is stupid simple… It’s very compact.

I actually used a windshield washer fluid pump which I got for free, and rubber hose for the inlet and outlet.

Inlet goes to a water jug, gravity fed.
Outlet goes to a poorly made DIY showerhead.
Power is a small 12v battery pack with length of lead that goes to a water proof switch that’s on the show head so you can turn it on/off.

I built it as a shower but I actually use it more for dish washing and hand wash station because the flow rate is a bit slower and ideal for that.

Those DIY design are awesome. My team uses the WaterPORT. You just fill it with your garden hose and it gets it's pressure that way. It also has a pump cap if you need more pressure on the go or if you re-fill in the field.

I use the Waterport as well along with a fold up hose I got at Orchard and a Lightspeed Privacy tent. The hose and nozzle fit in the tent bag, but the Waterport is on the swingout. It would be great to be able to get hot water in the winter time. At least last weekend it was hot near the ocean and after a long bike ride it felt great.

I've got a Nemo Helio. I was thinking about doing one similar to REI, but ultimately wanted something that stores away. Helio is great, and i can fill it with lake water, or bring an extra jerry can of water. Typically I'll boil 1 gallon of water and add it to 2 gallons of room temp water, and it makes for a nice warm shower. Great for washing dishes too.

Something tells me that this will be a great solution! The richness of the assortment, on the one hand, allows you to purchase the most suitable kit for individual requirements, on the other hand, it complicates the purchase, especially for an unprepared buyer. What should I pay attention to when choosing, so that this plumbing system pleases with its reliability for a long time? It seems to me that the most important thing is to choose a watering can. Dont have a good photo but I'll try to describe it- my girlfriend's creation so I won't take full credit.

My RTT (antidote condo) folds out as you open it so it creates a roughly 4'x4' square that's a perfect size for a shower/ changing room. Ran some cord around the perimeter through the loops for securing the tent down when its closed and added a shower curtain and some cheap harbor freight foam mats on the ground to keep it from getting muddy. You can hang the shower bag from the roof rails and use the tube in your hand.

Pretty specific and not helpful unless you have an RTT.. but figured I'd share. Its a very nice setup especially if you're posted at a music festival for 5+ days. I'd like to make a PVC tube shower some time soon so I can have more pressure/ water but the current system works pretty well. Also plan to add a small hook to hang the tube/shower head coming from whatever shower system I go with.
