Old pop-up camper

It is a 1943 Bantam M100 trailer that I purchased from a retired Marine for $500. From there, I changed the lights, suspension, and trailer tongue. Then I added a lid, rack and tent. This past weekend I added a motorcycle carrier for my old KE100. This weekend we are off to Portsmouth Island for labor day, but some other time, send me a PM and come over to check it out. Pic of the bike carrier:

Super stable, it is all welded 1/4 inch steel with 4000lb anchor points. It will not move once strapped down.

Considering one of the RTTs in the group buy section now and just using it on the roof until when I can afford a trailer to build up.

1600lb Aliner. Want to put a better suspension on it and reinforce the frame with wheels to match the 4runner to make them swapable for spares. Havent taken it out with the 4runner yet but will soon.

The morris mule is one of the cheaper ones (but still very well made). If I had the time and the equipment to build one, that would have been the route I would take. But don't get me wrong, I'm very pleased with mine and glad I bought it.

Yes! This is how the trailer looked when we picked it up. This pic was our second time using the trailer.

mogmanbrad - how do you like the R-pod? How long have you had it? My wife and I just started looking at camping trailers and right now it's our favorite.

We really like the R-Pod. Ours is a 177 Hood River. The only suggestion I have is make them demonstrate every feature and check it over well for workmanship issues before you take delivery.

It's great to see someone pulling an Rpod with a 4Runner. We have had our Rpod for a little over a year now but just picked up the 4Runner so our first trip out will be next week. Do you use mirror extensions or are the stock mirrors enough to look around the Pod?
