Ok so my opinion on Bridgestone has changed...I decided to go to my local Firestone shop because my dealer keeps jerking me off. I explained the situation to the kid at the counter and told him it had to be a defective tire causing my vibration/shimmy. He says OK well if you purchase the road hazard protection for $25 per tire (which I wanted anyway) they would replace all 4 tires at no charge. When I asked if they were going to replace them with the same tire, he said yes unless I wanted something else. So I decided to go for the Revo 2's which tacked on an additional $10 per tire. So for $140 I was able to get a better tire and now have road hazard protection:guitar2:
They are putting them on now. I think you mis-understood my last post. The stock Bridgestones (with 5k on them) are the ones I was having a problem with. Firestone is sending them back as "defective" and not charging me anything to replace them as long as I buy the road hazard. So for $140 I am getting 4 brand new Revo 2's with protection...Thanks for all of your feedback on this!!!
Sorry man... don't settle until you're happy. Make them fix it right.
Welcome to my world...Murphys Law never takes a vacation day...
Titanpat57 , any change in mileage?
Thanks,
Chomondely
I know this thread is getting old, but had to update that I finally found a place to give me a credit for the stock Bridgestones and I put on BFG ATKOs. Stuck with the stock size; and yes, they are awesome.
Nice...what was your total cost out the door for the upgrade?

Hard to argue with the deal you got. They gave me $95/tire for the bridgestones and then the BFGs were $239/tire installed. After a $60 rebate, I am out $516 (no tax in NH).
I was thrilled though because I had been calling places with no luck since I saw this thread and figured out people were getting credit for used tires. It took awhile, but I finally found a place.
Every place I called were really impressed with the Firestones Destination AT though, so I think you'll be happy with them.

Definitely love'em and can't complain about the deal. Just a HUGE fan of the BFG's so would have preferred those given a similar deal...
Before I picked up my 4Runner, I went camping with a couple buddies who brought a Tacoma 4x4 with stock BFG Rugged Trail tires, and an Xterra 4x4 with Destination LE's. I was impressed with how well those LE's handled offroad and it looks like the AT's are even meaner so I can't wait to finally test them out!:driving:
Love the new sneaks...but of course nothing goes as smooth as you expect. I was wondering why it was taking them so long to finish my ride, and the manager comes to talk to me. I knew by the look on his face, they snapped a stud. Par for the course. They told me to come back tomorrow and they will replace it. While I am walking around the truck, I look at the wheel with only 5 studs and what do I see? A big gauge in the rim from them mounting the new tires!!!!! :crybaby:
Does anyone know of a tire dealer in Western PA that takes trades? I would love to trade these Bridgestones for some Michelin's.
