Lev-O-Gage

I finally bought the Lev-O-Gage that I always wanted. I bought the cheaper version and used it for the b-pillar (to indicate front-back tilt). Lev-O-Gage has one that gives actual slope but it's way too big. I bought the more expensive "Industrial" version for the side-to-side tilt which I am much more concerned about. Having both versions in hand there is a noticeable difference. The industrial one is worth the money.

I wanted an inclinometer for a long time. When I had the company FJ I very easily maxed out the 30 degree range (both planes). 30 degrees feels worse than you initially think!

I considered the mounting options. The glove box for the "x-axis" was too far and hard to see from my side. The sunglasses was too hidden, I want to show this off. Positions around the wheel were not my fav...although the curve of the gage fits into the 4runner pods! but then you might block valuable info. Also mounting around the wheel didn't give me much visibility. So I chose the spot as per pic.

If I like the mounting positions and the 3m sticky doesn't hold I will screw it in. If it bugs me for whatever reason then I'll pick an alternate loc. It's pretty hard to find a flat plane inside the Runner!

Like it. I've had two in similar mounting locations for years on my rig... very useful... and yes... 30 degrees doesn't sound like much until you are staring at the guage.

I too have the same Lev-O-Gage...I also put (1) on the B-Pillar & the 2nd one between my left vent & the tachometer gauge.

I miss my runner from Japan, they all have the dash mounted clusters. I have a friend going back to Japan and I'm going to have him pick a few out of the junk yard for me.
