Leveling Kit Question???

Here she is with the added 1.5 inch cornfeed rear leveling kit. Looks so much better. Guess time for some new tires and running boards? What You all think?

Thanks. I am trying to figure out when I change the tires if going to stay with oem size or go one bigger. I am looking at doing a BFG All Terran as i have good look with them on all my trucks and suvs but man are $$$ but i guess you get what you pay for.


I also fixing to start looking into the nfab bars again once the tires and the bars are complete, I will be done for a while as my wallet needs to rest.
 
I ended up buying toytec's Best seller.. i was going to do the ultimate but wanted something on the truck before i took it to the trail.. i chose the 2.5" spacer upfront and a 2" superflex coil in the back.. it'll reduce my rake a little but not quite even.. so when i haul.. i wont sag..

To me this is a good temporary kit cause the ultimate uses the same spring.. so when im ready ill get bilstein 5100's in the back and ill take out the front spacer and add the FRONT ultimate kit.. also it prevents me from spending too much right now since my fresh duratracs are sitting in the garage waiting to be put on :)

What size duratracs you going to run? I am concerned about millage with going to a bigger tire but you know how that goes, I can get over if tires will fit and look good without having to cut, trim etc... anything on the suv

I got 285/70/17's.. I'm not too worried about the gas mileage.. i'll eventually get wheels.. so when i go on long trips i can just swap them out at home.

I don't know yet if ill have to move my fender liner forward but it seems like i'll have to.. so i'm prepared to do that. And if it rubs when the wheels are compressed into the wheel well during offroading then i'll chop the body mount a bit

So what you are saying is that even if I stay with stock size tires and run a true all terrian tire then if will look bigger by design? Makes since if that is you meant. I have found 2 tires I like in 275/70/17 but the price is crazy but everything costs a arm and leg.

The two tires I found was cooper discover AT 3 and BFG all terrian. I have the BFG many times in the past and found be a good tire. Matter of fact I'm running on my tundra now. So will have to make up my mind if I want to stay with stock size or go up one size?

YES that is what I mean 2 fold. Most AT and MT in like sized tires yeild a taller/wider footprint and additionally give the illusion of "beef" lol keep in mind each manufacturer differs in size. BFG are notoriously smaller that the advertised size. a 265/70 Duratrac looks huge compared to the current tire you have on there

Sticking with stock wheels and no spacers gives you VERY minimal rubbing. Every truck is different and a handful have claimed no rubbing at all with less aggressive tires.

Discount Tire just installed AT/3s with 17x8.5 -6 wheels. I have a stock '10 Limited. I was getting some rubbing on the front liners (most noticeable when backing around corner). I pulled the liner forward about 1/2", but the tire was still rubbing slightly, so I broke out the heat gun and flattened the liner a bit on both driver's side and passenger side. The front 275s also very slightly rubbed the bump in the lining where the rocker panel starts. For now I removed that black guard. I don't think that will cause any problems, but I'm looking at ways to modify the guard and re-install it.

I absolutely love the more aggressive look that the new wheels/tires give the truck. I'll be posting pictures soon.

NOTE: the liner mod described in the write up was for a Trail. For my limited it was slightly different and required some dremel work to elongate a couple of holes.
 
Ok I have made up my mind to get BFG'S. Now I have to make up my mind on which size. Stay stock 265/70/17 or go one size bigger to 275/65/17? Anyone running BFG'S and if so which size?

I'm having a Toytec 2.5/1.5 leveling kit installed this Friday. Right now my 2013 TE is stock.

I had 275/70/17's installed about 2 weeks ago and I love'em. Even stock, they fit fine.

Thanks that would be great to see as I know what they look like as I run them on my tundra but just want to them on 4 runner.

Are they white letter out? I guess once you post a pic I will see. I am of white letters out to me just looks better then all black.

Also is anyone running any thing other then nab running boards while I want nfabs if there is another aftermarket running board that's Looks good I would like to see/review other options.
