Leveling kit too high in front, now what?

Installed a nice 2.5" leveling kit, now this thing squats real bad in the rear like an old tired desert pre-runner...I have the poly kit that has the small pre-load spacer in the spring, and the larger spacer which sits on top of the shock mount. It rides awesome with the little extra pre-load.I dont want to go back in there and take this thing apart again.
So what are some descent options out there? I do carry somewhat of a load often, if that helps!

I would contact the kit Mfg. See what they say about it.

Raise the back, I always worn ppl that 2.5 in of front lift look dumb. There is supposed to be more wheel well visible in the rear because:

1. There is more suspension articulation
2. It will look level when you have ppl in it
3. Thats where the majority of the weight is carried.

People who want to even their wheel wells out dont realize that the car wont sit evenly on the ground.

I have when the front is higher than the back.

I agree, lift the back. The rear lift is so easy. It would be a 20-30 minute job start to finish to add the rear spring spacers. Go for it!

x3... Most like a 2.5/1.5... If you carry heavy loads consider some airbags. You'll still need the 1.5 but you'll be able to load it and enjoy better handling, ride and stance (when loaded). Airbags can be had for around $100. Link in sig.

Yeah too much up front, I have the 2.5 up front and 1.5 in back. I'm thinking about taking off my 1.5 and going with a 2. Pm me if youd like it.

Yeah Fuzion, Im thinking of the 2". But, Im considering going with the 2" new springs, mainly for the little extra spring rate. Eventually I will be swapping out the OEM shocks in favor of some Bilstein units on all four corners when my budget allows. I've found spacers for about 90.00, and if thats the case, I might as well go with the new springs!

Looking back now, I should have just gone with the 3/2 lift. If you dont have x-reas you should go with new coils.

I am in the same boat except I only raised my front 1.5" but still think it is too flat. Anyone know if there is a good REAR spring option that is stiffer and provides 1-2" of lift? I know a lot of rear springs (i.e. OME, Toytec etc) are in the 2-3" lift range.

Try FJ coils but with the all terrain package.

I started with 2/1 and didnt care for the rake, or lack there of, especially when I had the trailer on, so I upgraded to 2/2 and now I'm much happier!

Iron, yours look good! I think Im going with new rear springs as long as they are not any higher than 2". So, can anybody tell me what the deal is with people going with FJ springs front and rear? I cant imagine the spring rates on the FJ are heavier than out Runners are. Or are the FJ spring rates that much softer than ours??? From my past experiences, and driving my Runner "stock" around town, I for one wouldnt want any softer spring and shock combo than it has already. In fact the 2.5 kit I installed in the front has made the front spring rate just right in my opinion! Now once I replace all shocks with some Bilsteins, this thing will really rock on and off road!:D

I have a pro comp 2.25" front level spacer and nothing in the rear but stock and the 07 is perfectly level! Very happy with it, even with a cargo load.... but when I get the $$$ I'll go with a 3" full suspension for sure

Danny seeing your truck makes me envious! My truck is the same color as yours, so its nice to see what it will eventually look like.
As far as my rear squatting issue, im beginning to wonder a few things. First, I bought this thing used, and I found out it was a repo! Judging by the few things I have noticed after crawling thru this thing with a fine tooth comb, it appears this thing was driven hard and put away wet! So in conclusion, im wondering if my rear springs are slightly sacked out compared to others Ive seen on this site including yours. My truck has that "pre-runner" stance for sure...Soon as my budget allows, I will be going with new rear springs. Thanks for all the insight fellas!

On an unrelated note; Does anyone know how to re-set the "maint" light on my dash? I changed the oil recently and put in Mobile-1, nad now my maint light is on.

thanks for the kind words! good luck with the springs, i'd look into ToyTec if I were you. As far as the "maint light" I just had mine turned off. I had my mechanic do it but I bet Auto zone or checker can do it for free. Mine came on when I hit 36,000 miles.
