Leveling kit with Bilstein 5100s

Hey guys just wondering if anyone could help me. I am putting on a leveling kit 2.5/1" and putting on 5100s and was wondering if I need to adjust the height on the front shocks to .85". Since its just a leveling kit that sits on top im assuming i just leave it at 0.

Im doing the install now so any response would be greatly appreciated...thanks

if youre putting the spacer on top of the front strut, no need to adjust the bilsteins, youll get the 2.5" of lift from the spacer
 
also what would be the recommended settings for mainly a highway cruiser...i will not be taking this offroading. spacer or just the shock?

Considering driving in VA beach is basically like off roading, go with the 5100's you will love the firm sporty feel!

What?

Its not the length of the shock, its the position of the spring perch

just use the shocks set at 2.5
 
The 5100's a adjustable height struts. You can get your 2.5 out of them without the spacer kit. Just need the spacer for the rear.

If and when the front strut finally gives out it's height, you can get another set of them.
Who knows, when they do, you might decide to do other MODS and change your setup by then.

thanks everyone...i went ahead and skipped out on the front spacers so i get more shock travel and it came out nice...its a first for me lifting anything...i have always lowered cars lol.

forgot to get a before measurements but it sits almost perfectly balanced now with the front fender still sitting slightly lower...front - 35.5" and rear driver 36.75" and rear passenger 37"...wish it was perfect but without coilovers guess you cant it perfect everytime. oh and the measurements were after i drove around for 10 miles going over speed bumps, braking hard, accelerating, and zigzagging.

overall im happy but while i was doing all this should have went with stiffer springs...even my bimmer probably has stiffer springs at 450 and 700 lbs lol.

next on the list are wheel spacers and some terra grapplers since i am getting them on sale for $170 buy 3 get one free...265/70/17...if anyone thinks i should get something different please let me know asap as im going to get this done tomorrow with an alignment.

also about the spacers are they pretty safe? i got some off ebay but ive been reading a lot about how there isnt enough thread on my 04 4runner v6 2wd if that makes any difference.

Yes if you get a hubcentric spacer with the proper nuts, properly torqued and installed. I am using AllPro hubcentric spacers with extended nuts. That was I get the proper thread contact
