There has been a rumor floating around for a long time that the 2010 4Runner would be a re-design. Maybe it's true.
It's pretty cool that across the pond that the kin to the 4Runner is considered a Land Cruiser. They'd be shocked by the big thing we call a Land Cruiser!

It would be really cool though if the next 2010 4Runner will be something totally new. Not just a redesigned version of the GX470 or Landcruiser.

No your wrong. The drivetrain/frame and everything underneath is identical to a GX470 which is identical to a Prado.
The surf does not have a fully boxed frame - AKA a Taco.

Actually, you are taking my comment out of context. I was replying to paraordnance who said that the 4Runner is the US name for the Prado, which it is not. The 4Runner is the US name for the Hilux Surf. Yes, the Surf shares its platform with the Prado, but that does not mean the 4Runner and Prado are the same vehicle with different names.
