Liberty Toyota in Colorado Springs

:rant: I bought a used '03 Limited 4WD V8 ("As Is" no warranty)about a month ago. The salesman said that this 4Runner is "CERTIFIED". Test drove it, turned on all the whistles and bells and everything worked fine except 2 things below.

After the week i got it, it rained. So i put the wipers on and one of them was peeling off. Went to the dealership and demanded for them to replace for FREE. They said that i bought the vehicle "As Is". So i had to pay for the wiper blades which is a Safety Item. Then yesterday, someone told me that one of my brake lights don't work. I went to the dealer today and the young idiot tried to open the back panel with a pen (what an idiot). Then when he couldn't open it, he used a flat screw driver. So i said to myself "WHAT A F****IN' CERTIFIED 4Runner this is????" Okay, so i peeped underneath my SUV and found a crapload of mud. It took me 3hrs to hose off the shit out of it. I wonder what my utility bill is gonna be like next month? Glad that the frame has holes all over the place that made it easier for the mud/pebbles/debris get outta there. So i ended up detailing it after 6 hours later. Now it looks near perfect new!

I like this 4Runner, it just need a little bit of TLC which this dealership couldn't handle nor fix. Yet they sold it to me with one non-working wiper and taillight bulb which are Safety Items.

Next time i go there for service (oil change, lube, etc.), they better get their shit straight or there WILL be consequences.

Thank gawd i found this website and i'mma gonna post this to ALL Toyota websites i can be a member of.

There's my rant for the day. Now let me enjoy whore up some toyota websites and enjoy my near new T4R. :rant:

Went to the dealership and demanded for them to replace for FREE.

Granted the saleman "said" it was certified, did he show you the paperwork ? or did you just take a "salesman" word ?
Maybe if you would have be nice and polite, you might have had both taken care of :bigok: and your still going to go back there ? after all your complaining ?

First, I was nice about it, i just wanted them to replace it for free.
Second, there's only 2 Toyota dealerships here and they're both the same company.

Which lead me to believe that you just walked in and demanded them to replace it.
either way, Im sure if you would have politley asked, they would have done it, they know the power of the internet
Every yota dealership Ive been to has been nothing but accomendating. Hell I went to a dealership in Kansas City (I never bought anything there) and asked for a replacement battery for the key fob/doorlock, after BSing with the parts guy, I walked out with a new key fob/doorlock thing and a new battery in the other.
A leason I learned a longgg time ago, the nicer you are to people, the nicer they are to you...

I'm sorry that you had to experience that.

But if I buy a USED car (certified of not), I expect it to need some basic maintenance, like fluids, and wiper blades, air filter.

You do realize that it IS an SUV, and people use 4Runners for their intent, to go off-roading and the like?
