License plate LEDs

hey guys,

looking at buying these for my license plate, which a few others have mentioned here on the forum.

2 HID WHITE 5K HIGH POWER LICENSE PLATE MAP PARKING LED BULBS 194 168 158

what i'm not sure about, is how easy they are to install. is it a direct replacement? also, will they match the 4300k HID kit from xenondepot?

also, if anyone has other LEDs to recommend, that are easy to install, i would be happy to know about those.

you might want to look into getting ones with more of an omni directional light output. those lights do not point straight down onto the plate.

4th row down. it shoots lite dang near in a 360* output.

I have these, which are essentially the same thing. Very easy to install. just unscrew the light housing and pull the bulb out and replace it with the led

i assume these will fit... they look to be the same as yours except 5k instead of 6k.

The lights in your link are the exact ones you would want. I am using those and really like them. They do point towards the plate as the bulb mount is angled so they shine right on the plate (not like the 5th gens which point the opposite way, haha). The heat sink on them is a nice feature since they are on whenever your lights are on. I am in the process of a write up on my leds I run on the outside of the vehicle, so stand by for pics and further details. Also the install is very simple, dont even worry about it.

These lights look awesome I would highly recommend them if you're looking for an inexpensive mod that people will definitely notice. The 194's work for the license plate/doors/map lights. I've done them all.
