Lift and New Wheels! (questions)

Hey,
Im pretty new here and just and some questions for those who know what they're talking about. Ive done pretty extensive searching here and yotatech and still have some questions.

My rig is a 2000 Limited pretty stock as far a performance goes.

Anyways, looking at getting a suspension lift and new wheels/tires. I have been eyeing the 3" wabfab springs/ diff drop. with either OME or Bilstein F/R shocks. This sound like a pretty good setup or has anyone had experience with this before?
When thats done, I'll get some Cragar Soft 8's (or maybe just paint my stock 5-spokes black) What backspacing do i need for the Soft 8's and what size do you recommend getting.
Lastly, I know this has been discussed a lot, but tires for the new setup?

Well I cant comment on the shocks and stuff but if you get the lift definetley go with some 285's. I'll recomend my tires. They are BFG Mud Terrain KM2's
Kinda pricy but I love them!

I just got a set of Cragar soft 8s[16x7 4' BS] and a set of 285/75/16 Sport King ATs. No rubbing. My t4r is lifted with OME springs and shocks.

Opinions on tires vary too much. Depends on what size you want to run to.

What kind of driving do you do?

Alex, shoot Brian @ WabFab an email, he's a pretty smart guy and he may be able to point you in the right direction on shocks.

As for tires/wheels...

Do you offroad much? Form or function? Is your truck a DD?
