lift kit purchase complete-LC coils

looks like i'm going to be running the 3 inch lc coils and ome 892's (i think the taller 891's ) with a steel 3/8 inch spacer.....with all new ome shocks all around diff drop and pan hard bar.....


ordering sway bars soon as well, i'll be updating this thread over the weeks to show what i bought and what i did for my lift, i plan on doing it right so welding a pan hard bracket and some other things will be in here for sure as well as build your own adjustable end links write up.

Ummm, you can't run LC coils and 892's at the same time. That would give you about 20 inches of lift.

i went with the more expensive option of the Adjustable Trac/PanHard bar by sonora steel.

maybe i'm wrong but i was talking to the soon to be brother in law and i think he said he ordered me the 892's shown here,he owns a reputable shop and i fully trust him.

it was a quick phone conversation so i could be wrong (talked more about dirt bikes than lifts), will find out tomorrow for sure over some turkey....aaahhh life is good when you can chat 4wheel stuff over the turkey table!!:trophy: all i can say is i got the right chick on all accounts!

i'll get more details on everything later and update with prices pics and a order in which to do things....


also i left my home made dirt bike hitch carrier over there and he's bringing it back so i'll get some shots of that and update that so called write up lol

Yeah, so here's where the problem may arise...

The LC coils are from the FRONT of an 80 series but go in the REAR of the 4Runner.
The OME892 coils are also for the REAR on the 4Runner.

So if you did indeed hear correctly, then you have ordered 2 sets of coils for the rear and none for the front. Lets hope Crackiswack is right and you've got the 882's on the way instead.

I have been looking for examples of a OME front and landcruiser coils in the rear! This will be my next set up so I am interested in your write up.

The previous comment is correct. You will put the coils from the front of a landcruiser on your rear axle and the OME 882 go up front on your runner. 890,891, and 892 are rear coils for the 4 runner.

Fingers crossed yoor brother in law got it right so the write up can begin!

yeah i'm pretty sure he's got it right, he's way smarter than me at this sort of thing, i mean he makes a living off of it when i only have time to dabble and make myself look stupid, lol :roadkill:

i'll clean this thread up alot and get tons of pics he's got a full shop with a lift

ok so i got all of the parts this weekend from teh brother in law, he hooked it up with different sets of the lc coils on slightly taller than the other, on my lunch break today i plan on pulling all of this stuff out and getting the photo's of just the parts..... it's funny i googled '99 4runner lc coil write up and this thread was at the top, lol so looks like i'll have to do a good job!!!:beer:
