Lift Kit Ride Quality

Just starting this thread to find out what everyone thinks of the ride quality of the lift kits you installed on your 4th Gen 4Runner.

Interesting details:
1. What kind of lift and cost
2. Perceived ride quality before lift kit - on road and off-road, towing
3. Ride quality after lift
4. Tuning possibilities of the lift kit
5. Anything else you think is important

Thanks in advance to everyone who posts his opinions. Hopefuly this will help anyone who has not done the lift yet in deciding what kit to buy.

I see allot of forum search in your future...


1. What kind of lift and cost

Daystar 2.5" F&B. Lift should depend on your goals for the truck.

2. Perceived ride quality before lift kit - on road and off-road, towing
3. Ride quality after lift

Post lift, slightly harsher, entirely livable. I can't compare most items because I lifted soon after purchase. Search for daystar.

Your lift decision is made by XREAS. Again, the info is out there, poke around a little. There are many great resources on the board that will help as you get into the specifics.

Now how about a write-up on your cargo basket w/pics? :)

I have been reading all kinds of stuff about the various lifts on this forum. What I am trying to do is get a consolidated view of the different options out there and what people think about each one.

Regarding my basket: no problem. I'll see if I can post some pics.
 
Spacers will give stiffer ride.
OME - rides the same or even better (some owners says so).
Coilovers - perfect ride due to the fact that you can adjust them.
 
Trying to sum it up in a few works would do unjust to each of the different lifts available so you're better off reading about what's already available on many of the forums online.

I've slowly started to build some info on the 4th gen so you can read up on here as well.
